Video and Audio Calibration Service
Audio Calibration
The process involves the use of a calibrated microphone with REW software. It also involves the use of a Spatial Audio disc with specific test patterns that cannot be measured with REW to tune the system. Things like imaging, object panning, Phantom images and sound stage. A combination on the use of these special test patterns with measurement mic and REW will bring your system up to the next level. This process will also help and train you to understand the equipment better and to calibrate your own system independently in the future.

Video Calibration
The process involves the use of a reference grade xRite Display 3 Pro Plus Colorimeter that has been calibrated against a reference grade spectroradiometer. (The Display 3 shows errors no higher than xy0.006 for both colour and white relative to a $10,000 reference spectroradiometer.), an appropriate pattern generator with Calman/Chromapure software & other test patterns for calibrating the display for SDR/HDR/Dolby Vision. This process accounts for differences between the measured values and the calibration targets. LUTS approach are much more accurate and faster compared to manual calibration.
☐ Client Education about video calibration process, its strengths and benefits and overall improvement one can expect post calibration.
☐ Setting the correct Picture mode, measuring light output and luminance and setting the correct contrast levels
☐ Basic video level calibration and adjustment of settings on Brightness, Contrast, Sharpness, Colour, white balance
☐ Perform Grayscale calibration, manual or 1D LUT (depending on equipment)
☐ Perform Gamma calibration (depending on controls available on equipment)
☐ Perform Colour calibration, manual or 3D LUT (depending on equipment)
☐ Post calibration report. It contains information about the equipment, the calibration process, and the results of the calibration. The report is used to verify that the equipment is performing within its specified tolerances and to provide documentation for future reference.
